Magnide 

Presentation: Each tablet contains 605.33 mg Magnesium Oxide BP equivalent to 365 mg Magnesium. The tablets are intended for oral administration. Packaging typically consists of blister packs within a box.

Indications: Indicated for relieving the symptoms of magnesium deficiency. Also used for cardiovascular conditions such as rapid heartbeat, irregular heart rate, angina pectoris, and mild to severe hypertension. It is used for nerve and muscle issues including muscle spasms, cramps, increased excitability of nerves and muscles, and calf cramps. In gynecology, it is used for preterm contractions, cervical insufficiency, premature membrane rupture, and pregnancy-related spasms (eclampsia/pre-eclampsia). It is also indicated for orthopedic conditions like calcification and ossification, prevention of kidney stone formation (calcium oxalate urolithiasis), and treatment of diabetic and migraine headaches.

Dosage and Administration: The recommended daily dose for adults and adolescents (12-17 years) is 1-2 tablets, taken with meals to reduce stomach upset and diarrhea, or as directed by a physician. If a dose is missed, it should be taken as soon as remembered, unless it is almost time for the next dose. Do not double up on doses to make up for a misseddose.

Side Effects: Mild side effects may include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, cramps, tiredness, weakness, and confusion. Serious side effects, although rare, can include low blood pressure, changes in heart's electrical activity (ECG), depression, severe allergic reactions (swelling, itching, rash), respiratory depression, and coma.

Precautions: Contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to magnesium oxide or severe renal impairment. Caution should be exercised in individuals with kidney disease, alcohol dependence, liver disease, or phenylketonuria (PKU). Inform your doctor if you are taking other medications, including muscle relaxants, certain antibiotics, digoxin, lithium, sodium polystyrene sulfonate, cellulose sodium phosphate, barbiturates, opioids, hypnotics, or nifedipine, as interactions may occur.

Storage: Store below 25°C, protected from light and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.
