Medrogest 10

Presentation: Tablet containing 10 mg Medroxyprogesterone Acetate BP.

Indications: Treatment of secondary amenorrhea and abnormal uterine bleeding due to hormonal imbalance. Prevention of endometrial hyperplasia in nonhysterectomized postmenopausal women receiving estrogen. May also be used in the treatment of endometriosis.

Dosage & Administration: Dosage varies depending on the indication. For secondary amenorrhea: 5 or 10 mg daily for 5 to 10 days. For abnormal uterine bleeding: 5 or 10 mg daily for 5 to 10 days, starting on the 16th or 21st day of the menstrual cycle. For endometrial hyperplasia prevention: 5 or 10 mg daily for 12 to 14 consecutive days per month. Administer orally. Follow physician's instructions.

Side Effects: Common: headache, nausea, irregular vaginal bleeding or spotting, breast tenderness. Less common: changes in weight, dizziness, nervousness, abdominal discomfort, hair loss. Rare: thromboembolic disorders, jaundice.

Precautions: History of thromboembolic disorders, severe hepatic dysfunction, undiagnosed vaginal bleeding, hormone-dependent tumors, pregnancy (contraindicated), lactation. Caution in patients with depression, diabetes mellitus, epilepsy, asthma, migraine, hypertension, or renal/cardiac dysfunction.

Storage: Store at room temperature (15-30°C), protected from light and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.
