Medrogest 5 

Presentation: Each tablet contains Medroxyprogesterone Acetate BP 5 mg. Available in strips.

Indications: Treatment of secondary amenorrhea and abnormal uterine bleeding due to hormonal imbalance. May also be used in the management of endometriosis.

Dosage and Administration: For secondary amenorrhea, the usual dose is 5 to 10 mg daily for 5 to 10 days. For abnormal uterine bleeding, the usual dose is 5 to 10 mg daily for 5 to 10 days, starting on the 16th or 21st day of the menstrual cycle. For endometriosis, the dosage varies and should be determined by the physician. The tablets are administered orally. Follow the physician's instructions carefully.

Side Effects: Common side effects may include headache, nausea, changes in menstrual bleeding patterns, weight gain, and breast tenderness. Other possible side effects include dizziness, nervousness, and abdominal discomfort.

Precautions: Contraindicated in patients with a history of thromboembolic disorders, cerebral apoplexy, severe liver dysfunction, known or suspected malignancy of the breast or genital organs, and undiagnosed vaginal bleeding. Use with caution in patients with epilepsy, migraine, asthma, and cardiac or renal dysfunction. Inform your doctor if you have a history of depression.

Storage: Store below 30°C in a dry place, protected from light. Keep out of reach of children.
