Mig 10 Tablet

Presentation: Each tablet contains Mirogabalin Besylate.

Indications: Mig tablet is indicated for the treatment of neuropathic pain, including diabetic peripheral neuropathic pain (DPNP), postherpetic neuralgia (PHN), and peripheral neuropathic pain (PNP).

Dosage and Administration: The initial adult dose is 5 mg twice daily, gradually increased to 15 mg twice daily, with adjustments between 10 mg and 15 mg twice daily based on age and symptoms. It's not known if Mirogabalin is safe and effective for children and adolescents. Dose adjustments are needed for patients with renal dysfunction.

Side Effects: Common side effects include somnolence, dizziness, edema, and weight gain.

Contraindications: It's contraindicated in patients hypersensitive to Mirogabalin and those with mild to moderate hepatic & renal impairment.

Mechanism of action: Mirogabalin selectively binds α2δ subunits of voltage-gated calcium channels (VGCCs), reducing calcium influx and neurotransmission, which inhibits neurotransmitter release in presynaptic neuron endings. This reduces the hyper-excitability of central nervous system (CNS) neurons.
