Migalin 5 Tablet contains Mirogabalin Besylate equivalent to 5 mg of Mirogabalin. 
It is manufactured by Popular Pharmaceuticals Ltd. in Bangladesh.

Indications: Migalin is indicated for the treatment of:

• Diabetic peripheral neuropathic pain
• Postherpetic neuralgia
• Peripheral neuropathic pain

Pharmacology: Mirogabalin binds selectively to the α2δ subunits of voltage-gated calcium channels (VGCCs). This reduces calcium influx and the release of neurotransmitters in the presynaptic neuron endings, thereby decreasing hyperexcitability in the central nervous system and reducing pain.

Dosage and Administration: The usual initial dose for adults is 5 mg orally twice daily. The dose is then gradually increased by 5 mg at intervals of at least one week, up to a maximum of 15 mg twice daily. The dosage may be adjusted between 10 mg and 15 mg twice daily based on the patient's age and symptoms.

Side Effects: The most commonly reported adverse reactions include:

• Somnolence (drowsiness)
• Dizziness
• Edema (swelling)
• Weight gain

Precautions:

• This medicine may cause dizziness, somnolence, or loss of consciousness. Patients should avoid operating dangerous machinery or driving until they know how Migalin affects them.
• Avoid consuming alcohol while taking Migalin, as it may potentiate the impairment of motor skills and the sedating effects of alcohol.

Contraindications: Migalin is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to Mirogabalin.

Drug Interactions:

• Co-administration with Cimetidine or Probenecid may increase the plasma concentration of Mirogabalin.
• If Migalin is taken with Lorazepam, the depressive effects on the central nervous system may be intensified.

Storage: Store below 30°C in a dry place, away from light and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.
