Mirogab 2.5 Tablet

Presentation: Each film-coated tablet contains Mirogabalin Besylate INN equivalent to 2.5 mg Mirogabalin.

Indications: Mirogab is indicated for the treatment of neuropathic pain in adults, including:

• Diabetic peripheral neuropathic pain (DPNP)  
• Postherpetic neuralgia (PHN)  
• Peripheral neuropathic pain (PNP)  

Dosage and Administration:The usual initial dose for adults is 5 mg orally twice daily.The dose is then gradually increased by 5 mg at an interval of at least one week to 15 mg orally twice daily. The dose may be adjusted between 10 mg and 15 mg twice daily depending on the patient's age and symptoms. 

• Renal Impairment:Dosage adjustments are recommended for patients with moderate to severe renal dysfunction.  
• Hepatic Impairment:No dosage adjustment is usually needed for mild to moderate hepatic impairment.  

Mirogab can be taken with or without food.Avoid consuming alcohol while taking this medication as it may potentiate the impairment of motor skills and sedating effects of alcohol.  

Side Effects: The most commonly reported adverse reactions include:

• Somnolence (drowsiness)  
• Dizziness  
• Edema (swelling)  
• Weight gain

Less common but potentially serious side effects can include liver dysfunction and loss of consciousness. If any serious side effects occur, stop taking the medicine and consult your doctor immediately. 

Contraindications: Mirogab is contraindicated in patients with:

• Hypersensitivity to Mirogabalin.
• Mild to moderate hepatic and renal impairment.

Drug Interactions:

• Coadministration with Cimetidine or Probenecid may increase Mirogab plasma concentration.  
• If taken with Lorazepam or alcohol, the depressive effects on the CNS may be potentiated.  

Storage:Store below 30°C in a dry place, away from light and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.
