Mirotiv 10 Tablet
Generic Name: Mirogabalin Besylate

Strength: Each tablet contains Mirogabalin Besylate equivalent to Mirogabalin 10 mg.
Indications:
Mirotiv is indicated for the treatment of neuropathic pain, including:
- Diabetic peripheral neuropathic pain (DPNP)
- Postherpetic neuralgia (PHN)
- Peripheral neuropathic pain (PNP)
Dosage and Administration:
- The usual initial dose for adults is 5 mg twice daily.
- The dose is gradually increased by 5 mg at intervals of at least one week, up to a maximum of 15 mg twice daily, based on individual response and tolerability.
- The dosage may be adjusted between 10 mg and 15 mg twice daily depending on the patient's age and symptoms.
- It can be taken with or without food.
Contraindications:
- Hypersensitivity to mirogabalin.
Side Effects:
The most commonly reported side effects include:
- Somnolence (sleepiness)
- Dizziness
- Peripheral edema (swelling in the extremities)
- Weight gain
Less common side effects may include:
- Blurred vision
- Diplopia (double vision)
- Balance disorder
- Paresthesia (tingling or prickling sensation)
- Dry mouth
- Constipation
- Increased appetite
- Fatigue
Precautions:
- This medicine may cause dizziness, somnolence, or loss of consciousness. Patients should avoid operating dangerous machinery, including driving, until they know how Mirotiv affects them.
- Elderly patients should be monitored carefully due to a potential increased risk of falls and fractures associated with dizziness and somnolence.
- Weight gain has been reported with Mirotiv. Monitor weight and manage appropriately.
- If blurred vision or double vision occurs, consult a doctor.
- Avoid consuming alcohol while taking Mirotiv as it may intensify the impairment of motor skills and the sedating effects of alcohol.
- Use with caution in patients with renal impairment; dosage adjustments are recommended based on creatinine clearance.
Use in Pregnancy and Breastfeeding:
- Pregnancy: Mirotiv should be used during pregnancy only if the potential benefit outweighs the risk to the fetus.
- Breastfeeding: It is not known whether Mirogabalin is excreted in human milk. A decision should be made whether to discontinue nursing or the drug, considering the importance of the drug to the mother.
Storage:
- Store below 30°C in a dry place, away from light and moisture.
- Keep out of reach of children.
