Mirotiv 5 Tablet

Presentation:Each tablet contains 5 mg of Mirogabalin Besylate.

Indications: Mirotiv is indicated for the treatment of neuropathic pain, including:

• Diabetic peripheral neuropathic pain (DPNP)  
• Postherpetic neuralgia (PHN)  
• Peripheral neuropathic pain (PNP)  

Dosage and Administration:The usual initial dose for adults is 5 mg orally twice daily. The dose is then gradually increased, with adjustments made at intervals of at least one week, to a maintenance dose of 10 mg to 15 mg orally twice daily, based on individual patient response and tolerability. 

• Renal Impairment: Dosage adjustments are recommended for patients with moderate to severe kidney problems.
• Hepatic Impairment: No specific dosage adjustment is usually needed for mild to moderate liver problems.

Mirotiv can be taken with or without food. Avoid consuming alcohol while taking this medication, as it may increase drowsiness and dizziness.

Side Effects: The most commonly reported side effects include:

• Sleepiness (somnolence)  
• Dizziness  
• Swelling (edema)  
• Weight gain

Less common side effects can include blurred vision, dry mouth, and difficulty concentrating. If any serious side effects occur, such as loss of consciousness or signs of liver problems (e.g., yellowing of the skin or eyes, persistent nausea or vomiting), seek immediate medical attention. 

Precautions:

• Use with caution in elderly patients due to a potential increased risk of dizziness and sleepiness.
• Mirotiv may cause dizziness, sleepiness, or loss of consciousness. Avoid operating dangerous machinery, including driving, until you know how this medication affects you. 
• Use with caution in patients with kidney disease; dose adjustments may be necessary.

Contraindications:Mirotiv is contraindicated in patients with a known hypersensitivity to mirogabalin.  

Drug Interactions:

• Concomitant use with alcohol or other central nervous system depressants may increase sleepiness and dizziness.
• Certain medications, such as cimetidine and probenecid, may increase the levels of mirogabalin in your blood.  

Inform your doctor about all the medications you are currently taking.

Storage:Store below 30°C in a dry place, protected from light and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.
