Mirtaz 7.5

Presentation: Each tablet contains Mirtazapine 7.5 mg.

Indications: Mirtaz (Mirtazapine) is indicated for the treatment of major depressive disorder.

Dosage and Administration: The usual starting dose for adults is 15 mg once daily, preferably at bedtime. However, some patients may be started on a lower dose of 7.5 mg once daily, as determined by a healthcare professional. The dose may be increased gradually, usually in increments of 15 mg every 1 to 2 weeks, up to a maximum dose of 45 mg per day. Mirtaz tablets should be taken orally, usually at bedtime.

Side Effects: Common adverse reactions may include increased appetite, weight gain, somnolence (drowsiness), sedation, and dry mouth. Less common side effects can include dizziness, abnormal dreams, confusion, anxiety, and insomnia.

Precautions: Mirtaz is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to mirtazapine. It should not be used concomitantly with monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs) or within 14 days of discontinuing an MAOI. Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of seizures, cardiovascular disease, hepatic or renal impairment, angle-closure glaucoma, and prostatic hypertrophy. It may increase the risk of suicidal thoughts and behavior, especially in young adults. Avoid abrupt discontinuation.

Storage: Store below 30°C in a dry place, protected from light. Keep out of reach of children.
