Moxifloxacin & Dexamethasone Ophthalmic Solution

Dual-Action Antibiotic & Anti-Inflammatory Eye Drops

This sterile solution combines a powerful 4th-generation fluoroquinolone (Moxifloxacin) with a potent corticosteroid (Dexamethasone) to treat bacterial infections while rapidly reducing ocular inflammation. 

Key Indications

• Infection Control: Treatment of eye infections caused by susceptible bacteria. 
• Post-Surgical Care: Prevention of infection and inflammation following cataract or LASIK surgery. 

Composition

• Moxifloxacin (5 mg/ml): Targets bacterial DNA enzymes to stop replication. 
• Dexamethasone (1 mg/ml): A glucocorticoid that inhibits prostaglandin synthesis and reduces swelling. 

Usage & Administration

• Post-Surgery: Typically 1 drop, 4 times daily, starting 1 day before surgery until 15 days after. 
• General Infection: 1 drop, 4 times daily, for up to 7 days. 
• Important: Always follow the specific schedule provided by your registered physician. 

Safety Information

• Contraindications: Do not use if you have a known hypersensitivity to quinolones, or if you have viral (e.g., Herpes Simplex), fungal, or mycobacterial eye infections. Not for patients with glaucoma or corneal thinning. 
• Precautions: Prolonged use may increase intraocular pressure or lead to cataracts.Regular eye exams are recommended during long-term treatment. 
• Side Effects: May cause temporary discomfort, redness, dry eye, or blurred vision. Discontinue use and contact a doctor if allergic reactions occur. 

Storage

Store below 30°C and protect from light.Discard the bottle 28 days after opening. Keep out of reach of children.
