Myolax 100 is a tablet containing 100 mg of Tolperisone Hydrochloride. It is manufactured by Incepta Pharmaceuticals Ltd. 

Indications:

Myolax 100 is indicated for the treatment of increased tone of skeletal muscles due to: 

• Organic neurological disorders (e.g., injury of the pyramidal tract, multiple sclerosis, myelopathy, encephalomyelitis). 
• Muscular spasm, muscular contracture, rigidity, spinal automatism, and discopathy. 
• Vascular diseases (obliterative arteriosclerosis, diabetic angiopathy, obliterative thromboangitis, Raynaud's disease, diffuse scleroderma). 
• Disorders due to injured innervation of the vessels (acrocyanosis, intermittent angioneurotic dysbasia). 
• In individual cases, post-thrombotic venous and lymphatic circulation disorders and crural ulcers. 

Pharmacology:

Tolperisone Hydrochloride is a centrally acting muscle relaxant. It works on the central nervous system to reduce elevated muscle tone and tension. It may also improve peripheral blood flow by vasodilation and reduce pain. 

Dosage and Administration:

The recommended dose for adults is 50-150 mg three times daily, according to individual requirements and patient tolerance. The maximum daily dosage is 450 mg administered in 2 or 3 divided doses. 

The dosage for children is as follows: 

• Children (from 3 months to 6 years): 5-10 mg/kg/day in three divided doses. 
• Children (from 6 to 14 years): 2-4 mg/kg/day in three divided doses. 

Or, as directed by a registered physician. Myolax tablets should be taken after meals to increase its effects and decrease stomach upset. 

Contraindications:

Myolax 100 is contraindicated in patients with: 

• A history of hypersensitivity to Tolperisone or any component of the product. 
• Myasthenia gravis. 
• Nursing mothers. 

Side Effects:

Possible side effects may include: 

• Muscular weakness 
• Headache 
• Nausea 
• Vomiting 
• Rarely, hypersensitivity reactions (itching, redness of the skin, skin rash). 
• Dizziness 
• Drowsiness 
• Dryness of the mouth 
• Low blood pressure 
• Fatigue 
• Diarrhea 

Pregnancy and Lactation:

Tolperisone Hydrochloride should be used in pregnancy according to the physician's advice and should not be used during breastfeeding. 

Precautions and Warnings:

In the case of children, the prescribed dose and duration of treatment should be closely observed. 

Concomitant use of methocarbamol with Myolax 100 has been reported to cause disturbance of visual accommodation. 

Storage Conditions:

Keep below 30°C, away from light and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.
