N-Sol Nasal Drop - (0.90%) contains a 0.90% sterile isotonic saline solution. It is manufactured by Popular Pharmaceuticals Ltd. 

Indications:

N-Sol Nasal Drop is used to: 

• Moisturize dry nasal passages: This can be caused by low humidity, dry climates, air travel, or certain medications. 
• Relieve nasal congestion: By thinning and loosening thick or crusty mucus, it helps to clear a stuffy nose. This can be helpful for congestion due to colds, allergies, or sinusitis. 
• Cleanse nasal passages: It can help wash away irritants, allergens, and debris from the nose. 
• Post-operative nasal care: It can be used to gently clean the nasal passages after nasal surgery. 
• Ear wax removal: In children 6 months and older, it can be used to soften ear wax before removal. 

Dosage and Administration:

• Nasal Congestion (Infants): 1-2 drops in each nostril before feeds. 
• Nasal Congestion (Children over 12 months & Adults): 1-2 sprays (if using a spray formulation) or drops into each nostril 2-3 times daily, or as directed by a physician. 
• Ear Wax Removal (Children from 6 months onwards): 3-4 drops into the affected ear(s) 3-4 times a day for 3-5 days. Allow the drops to warm to room temperature before use and lie down with the affected ear facing upwards for a few minutes after application. 

Contraindications:

There are generally no absolute contraindications for using isotonic saline nasal drops like N-Sol. However, avoid sharing the medication with others to prevent the spread of infection. 

Side Effects:

Side effects are uncommon with isotonic saline nasal drops. Some people may experience mild and temporary stinging, sneezing, increased nasal discharge, or a salty taste. 

Precautions and Warnings:

• Tell your doctor about any medical history, especially heart problems, lung problems, kidney problems, or allergies. 
• If using for ear wax removal, ensure the drops are at room temperature and administer them carefully. 

Pregnancy & Lactation:

N-Sol (0.90% saline) is generally considered safe to use during pregnancy and breastfeeding. However, it's always best to consult with your doctor before using any medication during these times.
