Nebilol 5

Presentation: Each tablet contains 5 mg Nebivolol (as Nebivolol Hydrochloride).

Indications: Treatment of essential hypertension. May also be used as an adjunct in stable mild to moderate chronic heart failure in patients over 70 years.

Dosage & Administration: For hypertension, the usual starting dose for adults is 5 mg once daily. For elderly patients (over 65 years) and patients with renal or moderate hepatic impairment, the starting dose is 2.5 mg once daily, which may be increased if needed. Follow doctor's instructions, preferably taking it at the same time each day.

Side Effects: Common: Headache, nausea, bradycardia (slow heart rate), fatigue, dizziness. Less common: Constipation, diarrhea, breathlessness, edema (swelling).

Precautions: Inform doctor of severe bradycardia, heart block greater than first degree, cardiogenic shock, decompensated cardiac failure, sick sinus syndrome, severe hepatic impairment, ¹ or hypersensitivity to nebivolol. Caution in patients with circulatory disorders, first degree heart block, anesthesia, diabetes, hyperthyroidism, chronic obstructive pulmonary disorders, ² and allergen sensitivity. Avoid abrupt discontinuation.

Storage: Store between 20-25°C. Protect from light. Keep out of reach of children.
