Neugaba 50

Presentation: Each capsule contains Pregabalin BP 50 mg.

Indications: Neugaba is indicated for:  

• Neuropathic pain associated with diabetic peripheral neuropathy. 
• Postherpetic neuralgia. 
• Adjunctive therapyfor the treatment of partial-onset seizures in patients aged 1 month and older. 
• Fibromyalgia. 
• Neuropathic pain associated with spinal cord injury. 
• Generalized anxiety disorder in adults.

Dosage and Administration: The dosage of Neugaba is individualized and depends on the condition being treated and the patient's response.

• Neuropathic Pain: The usual starting dose is 150 mg per day, given in two or three divided doses. The dose may be increased by the physician based on individual response and tolerability, up to a maximum of 600 mg per day.
• Adjunctive Therapy for Partial-Onset Seizures: The starting dose is 150 mg per day, usually given in two or three divided doses. The dose may be increased up to 600 mg per day.
• Fibromyalgia: The recommended dose is 300 to 450 mg per day in two divided doses.
• Generalized Anxiety Disorder: The usual starting dose is 150 mg per day. The dose may be increased gradually to a maximum of 600 mg per day.

Neugaba capsules can be taken with or without food. Follow the physician's instructions carefully.

Side Effects: Common side effects may include dizziness, somnolence (sleepiness), dry mouth, peripheral edema (swelling of extremities), blurred vision, weight gain, and difficulty with concentration.

Precautions: Inform your physician if you have a history of heart failure, kidney problems, or any allergic reactions. Use caution with alcohol and other central nervous system depressants as they may enhance the sedative effects of Pregabalin. Pregabalin may cause dizziness and drowsiness, so caution should be observed while driving or operating machinery. Inform your physician if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or breastfeeding. Do not stop taking Neugaba suddenly without consulting your doctor, as it may lead to withdrawal symptoms. Dosage adjustments may be necessary in patients with renal impairment.

Storage: Store in a cool and dry place, below 30°C, protected from light and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.
