Neumir 2.5 mg is a medication containing Mirogabalin Besylate. 
It is available in tablet form and is manufactured by Navana Pharmaceuticals Ltd. in Bangladesh.

Uses:

Neumir 2.5 mg is indicated for the treatment of peripheral neuropathic pain in adults. This includes:

• Diabetic peripheral neuropathy (DPNP)
• Postherpetic neuralgia (PHN)
• Spinal pain

Dosage and Administration:

• The usual starting dose for adults is 5 mg twice daily.
• The dose may be gradually increased by 5 mg per week up to a maximum of 15 mg twice daily.
• The dose can be adjusted between 10 mg and 15 mg twice daily based on individual needs and response.
• Neumir can be taken with or without food.
• If a dose is missed, it should be taken as soon as remembered. If it is close to the next dose, the missed dose should be skipped.

Side Effects:

The most commonly reported side effects associated with Mirogabalin are:

• Sleepiness (somnolence)
• Dizziness
• Headache
• Swelling (edema)
• Weight gain

Less common but potentially serious side effects include lightheadedness, confusion, loss of consciousness, and liver dysfunction. If any of these occur, discontinue the medication and consult a doctor immediately.

Precautions:

• Drowsiness and Dizziness: Neumir can cause dizziness and sleepiness. Avoid driving or operating machinery until you know how the medication affects you.
• Elderly Patients: Elderly patients should be cautious due to a potential increased risk of falls and fractures.
• Weight Gain: This medication may cause weight gain.
• Vision Problems: Report any blurred or double vision to your doctor.
• Renal Impairment: Dose adjustment is needed in patients with moderate to severe kidney problems.
  • Moderate renal dysfunction: Initial dose of 2.5 mg twice daily, increased to a maximum of 7.5 mg twice daily.
  • Severe renal dysfunction: Initial dose of 2.5 mg once daily, increased to a maximum of 7.5 mg once daily.
• Hepatic Impairment: Exercise caution in patients with moderate hepatic impairment. Use in severe hepatic impairment is not recommended as no data is available.

Contraindications:

Neumir is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Mirogabalin or any of the inactive ingredients.
