Neurega 50

Presentation: Each capsule contains 50 mg Pregabalin.

Indications: Treatment of neuropathic pain (nerve damage pain), fibromyalgia, partial seizures in adults, and generalized anxiety disorder.

Dosage & Administration: Dosage varies by condition. For neuropathic pain, usual starting dose is 150 mg daily in divided doses (e.g., 75 mg twice daily), may increase to 300 mg daily within 1 week. For fibromyalgia, starting dose is typically 75 mg twice daily, may increase to 450 mg daily. For partial seizures, starting dose is usually 150 mg daily in divided doses, may increase to 600 mg daily. For generalized anxiety disorder, starting dose is usually 150 mg daily, may increase to 600 mg daily. Follow doctor's instructions. Can be taken with or without food.

Side Effects: Common: Dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth, blurred vision, weight gain, difficulty concentrating, swelling of extremities. Less common: Euphoric mood, confusion, irritability, increased appetite, constipation, vomiting. Rare: Allergic reactions, muscle weakness, decreased platelet count.

Precautions: Inform doctor of heart, liver, or kidney problems, diabetes, or if pregnant or breastfeeding. Caution with alcohol and other CNS depressants. May cause dizziness and drowsiness. Monitor for changes in mood or behavior. Gradual withdrawal is recommended to avoid withdrawal symptoms.

Storage: Store below 30°C, protect from light and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.
