Norium 5

Presentation: Each tablet contains Flunarizine Dihydrochloride BP equivalent to Flunarizine 5 mg. 

Indications: Norium (Flunarizine) is indicated for the prophylactic treatment of migraine and for the symptomatic treatment of vestibular vertigo.

Dosage and Administration:

• Migraine Prophylaxis: The usual starting dose for adults under 65 years is 10 mg once daily at night. For adults 65 years and older, the starting dose is 5 mg once daily at night. The maintenance dose may be reduced to 5 mg daily, 5 days a week. Treatment duration is usually limited to 6 months.

Vestibular Vertigo: The recommended dose is 10 mg once daily at night. The treatment duration should generally not exceed 2 months.

Dosage should be as directed by a healthcare professional.

Side Effects: Common adverse reactions may include drowsiness, fatigue, increased appetite, and weight gain. Less common side effects can include depression and extrapyramidal symptoms.

Precautions: Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of depression or extrapyramidal disorders. May cause drowsiness. Use with caution in patients with liver disease. Not intended for the treatment of acute migraine attacks.

Storage: Store below 30°C in a dry place, protected from light. Keep out of reach of children.
