Presentation: Tablets containing Calcium Carbonate (derived from Oyster Shell) equivalent to 500 mg of elemental Calcium and Vitamin D3 (Cholecalciferol) 200 IU. The tablets are intended for oral administration. The appearance may vary depending on the manufacturer and what is available in Bangladesh.

Indications: Indicated for the treatment and prevention of calcium and Vitamin D3 deficiency. Used in conditions such as osteoporosis, osteomalacia, and rickets. May also be recommended as a supplement for individuals with inadequate dietary intake, limited sun exposure, and during pregnancy and lactation.

Dosage and Administration: The usual adult dose is one tablet once or twice daily, preferably with or after a meal, or as directed by a physician. The tablets should be swallowed whole with water. The dosage for children should be determined by a doctor.

Side Effects: Generally well-tolerated. Mild gastrointestinal disturbances such as constipation or stomach upset may occur. High doses of calcium can lead to hypercalcemia in some individuals.

Precautions: Use with caution in individuals with hypercalcemia, hypercalciuria, kidney stones, or kidney disease. Consult a physician before use if you have hyperparathyroidism, sarcoidosis, or are taking other medications, especially cardiac glycosides or thiazide diuretics.

Storage: Store in a cool, dry place, protected from light and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.
