Omari 12.5 

Presentation: Each tablet contains Omarigliptin INN 12.5 mg. Available in strips.

Indications: Omari is indicated for the treatment of adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus as monotherapy or as add-on therapy to improve glycemic control.

Dosage and Administration: The recommended dose is 25 mg once weekly. However, in patients with severe renal dysfunction or end-stage renal failure requiring hemodialysis or peritoneal dialysis, the dose is 12.5 mg once weekly. The tablet should be taken orally. If a dose is missed, it should be taken as soon as possible, and then the regular weekly schedule should be followed. Two doses should never be taken at the same time.

Side Effects: Common side effects may include nasopharyngitis and hypoglycemia. Other less common side effects reported are constipation, diarrhea, gastrointestinal problems, and skin and subcutaneous tissue disorders.

Precautions: Use with caution in patients who may be at risk of low blood sugar, such as those with pituitary or adrenal dysfunction, malnutrition, irregular food intake, excessive alcohol intake, or the elderly. Blood glucose levels should be monitored carefully when used with other antidiabetic drugs (especially insulin or sulfonylureas) or with drugs that can affect blood glucose levels.

Storage: Store below 30°C in a cool and dry place, protected from light. Keep out of reach of children.
