Opsovit 

Presentation: Tablets containing a combination of B-complex vitamins. Typically available in strips. Manufactured by Opsonin Pharma Ltd. in Bangladesh.

Ingredients: Each tablet usually contains Thiamine HCl (Vit. B1) 5 mg, Riboflavin (Vit. B2) 2 mg, Pyridoxine HCl (Vit. B6) 2 mg, and Nicotinamide (Vit. B3) 20 mg.

Indications: Indicated for the treatment and prevention of B-complex vitamin deficiencies, which can manifest as beriberi, Wernicke's encephalopathy, loss of appetite, cheilosis, glossitis, angular stomatitis, keratitis, seborrhoeic dermatitis, pellagra, photophobia, peripheral neuritis,and corneal vascularization. Also used in conditions causing depletion or reduced absorption of B-vitamins.

Dosage and Administration: Adults: 1-2 tablets three times daily, or as directed by a physician.

Side Effects: Adverse reactions are generally rare at the recommended doses. However, allergic and idiosyncratic reactions are possible.

Precautions: Should be given cautiously to patients taking levodopa, as pyridoxine (Vitamin B6) can reduce its effectiveness. Hypersensitivity may occur, especially in individuals previously given thiamine injections. Discontinue use if any adverse reactions develop.

Storage: Store in a cool and dry place, protected from light. Keep out of reach of children.
