Opsovit Z 

Presentation: Film-coated tablets containing Thiamine Hydrochloride, Riboflavin-5-Phosphate Sodium (equivalent to Riboflavin), Pyridoxine Hydrochloride, Nicotinamide, and Zinc Sulfate Monohydrate (equivalent to elemental Zinc 10 mg). Available in strips. Manufactured by Opsonin Pharma Ltd. in Bangladesh.

Indications: Indicated for the treatment and prevention of deficiencies in B-complex vitamins and Zinc. These nutrients are essential for energy release from food, healthy brain and nerve function, red blood cell formation, immunity, wound healing, growth, and development.

Dosage and Administration:

• Adults and children over 30 kg: 1 to 2 tablets 2 to 3 times daily, or as recommended by the physician.
• It is generally recommended to take the tablets after food.

Side Effects: Generally well-tolerated. However, a few side effects like nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and stomach upset may occur. Side effects have been reported with specific vitamins but generally at levels substantially higher than recommended doses.  

Precautions:   Contraindicated in patients with a known hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients of this product. In acute renal failure, zinc accumulation may occur, so dosage adjustment may be needed. Concomitant intake of tetracyclines and zinc may decrease the absorption of tetracyclines and fluoroquinolones. Pyridoxine may reduce the effectiveness of levodopa and may decrease serum levels of phenytoin. Co-administration of Niacin and HMG-CoA reductase inhibitors (e.g., lovastatin) may result in myopathy and rhabdomyolysis.

Storage: Store in a cool and dry place, protected from light. Keep all medicines out of reach of children.
