Ossoral D

Presentation: Film-coated tablets containing Coral Calcium [Specify strength equivalent to elemental Calcium, e.g., 500 mg or 600 mg] and Vitamin D3 USP [Specify strength, e.g., 200 IU or 400 IU]. Available in strips or blister packs of [Specify number, e.g., 30] tablets, manufactured by Novatek Pharmaceuticals Ltd. in Bangladesh.

Indications: Indicated for the treatment and prevention of calcium and Vitamin D deficiency. Used in conditions such as osteoporosis and associated fractures, osteomalacia, rickets, and latent tetany. Also used when there is an increased need for calcium and Vitamin D, such as during pregnancy, lactation, and in elderly patients. May be used as a supplement to ensure adequate intake for healthy bones.

Dosage and Administration: The usual adult dosage is one tablet daily or as directed by a registered medical practitioner. It is best taken with or just after a meal to improve absorption. The dosage may be adjusted based on individual needs and medical conditions.

Side Effects: Generally well-tolerated at recommended doses. Possible side effects include mild gastrointestinal disturbances such as constipation and stomach upset. In rare cases, hypercalcemia may occur with high doses or prolonged use.

Precautions: Contraindicated in patients with hypercalcemia, hypercalciuria, kidney stones, and known hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients. Caution should be exercised in patients with impaired renal function and those taking other medications containing Vitamin D or calcium.

Storage: Store at a temperature below 30°C, protected from light and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.
