Oxecone M Suspension - (400mg/5ml) contains Magaldrate BP 400mg per 5ml. It is manufactured by The ACME Laboratories Ltd.

Indications:

Oxecone M Suspension is indicated for the relief of symptoms associated with:

• Gastritis
• Heartburn
• Peptic ulcer
• Hyperacidity

Pharmacology:

Magaldrate is an antacid that neutralizes hydrochloric acid in the stomach, increasing the gastric pH and thus relieving symptoms of hyperacidity. It does not significantly affect gastric emptying.

Dosage and Administration:

• Adults: 1-2 tablespoonfuls (5-10 ml) three to four times daily or as directed by a physician.
• Children: As directed by a physician.

It is usually taken after meals and at bedtime. Shake well before use.

Contraindications:

Oxecone M Suspension is generally contraindicated in patients with severe renal impairment.

Side Effects:

Side effects are uncommon but may include:

• Diarrhea
• Constipation
• Nausea
• Vomiting

Precautions and Warnings:

• Use with caution in patients with mild to moderate renal impairment.
