Paloxi ODT Tablet - (0.5mg)

Generic Name:Palonosetron Hydrochloride  

Manufacturer: Beacon Pharmaceuticals PLC.

Strength: Each orally dispersible tablet contains Palonosetron Hydrochloride USP equivalent to Palonosetron 0.5 mg.

Indications:

Paloxi ODT is indicated for:

• Prevention of acute and delayed nausea and vomiting associated with moderately and highly emetogenic chemotherapy. 
• Prevention of postoperative nausea and vomiting.

Dosage and Administration:

• Adults: 0.5 mg orally approximately 1 hour prior to the start of chemotherapy.
• Postoperative Nausea and Vomiting: Please consult a doctor for appropriate dosage.
• The tablet should be placed on the tongue and allowed to dissolve. No water is needed.

Contraindications:

• Hypersensitivity to palonosetron or any of its components.

Side Effects:

• The most common side effects are headaches and constipation.  

Precautions:

• Use with caution in patients who have or may develop prolongation of the QT interval.
• Inform your doctor about any pre-existing medical conditions and medications you are taking.

Use in Pregnancy & Lactation:

• Pregnancy: Pregnancy category B. Consult your doctor before use.
• Lactation: It is not known whether Palonosetron is excreted in human milk. Consult your doctor before breastfeeding.

Storage:

• Store below 30°C in a dry place, protected from light.
• Keep out of reach of children.

Packaging:

• Available in strips of 10 orally dispersible tablets.
