Paloxiron 0.5 Tablet - (0.5mg Palonosetron)

Presentation: Each tablet contains 0.5 mg of Palonosetron (as Palonosetron Hydrochloride). 

Indications: Paloxiron 0.5 is used in adults and children (1 month to 17 years) for the prevention of:

• Acute and delayed nausea and vomiting associated with moderately emetogenic cancer chemotherapy.
• Acute nausea and vomiting associated with highly emetogenic cancer chemotherapy.
• Postoperative nausea and vomiting (PONV).

Dosage and Administration:

• Adults: The usual oral dose is 0.5 mg administered approximately 1 hour before the start of chemotherapy or once daily for PONV as directed by your doctor.
• Children (1 month to 17 years): The intravenous formulation is typically used at a dose of 20 mcg/kg body weight, with a maximum dose of 1.5 mg.

Follow your doctor's specific instructions for the correct dosage and timing.

Side Effects: The most common side effects reported are headache and constipation. Other less common side effects may occur.

Precautions: Inform your doctor if you have a known hypersensitivity to palonosetron or any of its components. Use with caution in patients with a history of hypersensitivity reactions to other 5-HT3 receptor antagonists.

Storage: Store at controlled room temperature, protected from light. Keep out of reach of children.
