Presentation: Pantosil tablets are available in strengths of 20 mg and 40 mg of Pantoprazole Sodium Sesquihydrate.

Indications: Pantosil (Pantoprazole) is a proton pump inhibitor indicated for peptic ulcer diseases (duodenal ulcer, gastric ulcer), gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), NSAID-induced ulcers, Helicobacter pylori eradication (in combination with antibiotics), Zollinger-Ellison Syndrome, and prophylaxis of NSAID-associated gastric or duodenal ulcers in at-risk patients.

Dosage and Administration: Pantosil tablets should be swallowed whole one hour before a meal, preferably in the morning. Do not chew or crush. The dosage depends on the condition and physician's instructions. Usual adult doses range from 20 mg to 40 mg once or twice daily.

Side Effects: Common side effects may include headache and diarrhea. Less common side effects may include abdominal pain, flatulence, rash, and insomnia.

Precautions: Pantosil is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to pantoprazole. Exclude gastric malignancy before starting therapy. Exercise caution in severe liver impairment. Long-term use may affect Vitamin B12 absorption or increase the risk of osteoporosis-related fractures.

Use in Pregnancy and Lactation: Pantoprazole should be used during pregnancy only if clearly needed. It is excreted in human milk; a decision should be made regarding nursing or discontinuing the drug.

Storage: Store in a dry place, away from light and heat. Keep out of reach of children. Store below 30°C.
