Pegalin ER 165 Tablet - (165mg Pregabalin)

Presentation: Each extended-release tablet contains 165 mg of Pregabalin.

Indications: Pegalin ER is indicated for the management of:  

• Neuropathic pain associated with diabetic peripheral neuropathy. 
• Postherpetic neuralgia.  

Dosage and Administration: The usual starting dose is one 165 mg tablet once daily after the evening meal. Based on your response and tolerability, your doctor may increase the dose to 330 mg once daily within one week. For patients needing further pain relief and tolerating the 330 mg dose, the dose may be increased to a maximum of 660 mg once daily after an additional 2 to 4 weeks. The tablet should be swallowed whole and must not be split, crushed, or chewed. If a dose is missed after the evening meal, it should be taken before bedtime with a snack. If a dose is missed before bedtime, it should be taken with the morning meal.

Side Effects: Common side effects may include dizziness, sleepiness, and peripheral edema (swelling in the arms or legs).

Precautions: Pegalin ER may cause dizziness and drowsiness, which can impair your ability to drive or operate machinery. It is recommended to avoid these activities until you know how the medication affects²you. Gradual withdrawal of Pegalin ER over at least one week is advised to minimize potential withdrawal symptoms. Use caution if you consume alcohol or are taking thiazolidinedione antidiabetic agents, as these may increase the risk of swelling. Inform your doctor if you have any kidney problems, as dose adjustments may be necessary.

Storage: Store in a cool and dry place below 30°C (86°F), protected from light and moisture. Keep out of the reach of children.
