Pregaba 25

Presentation: Each capsule contains Pregabalin 25 mg.

Indications: Pregaba (Pregabalin) is indicated for the treatment of neuropathic pain associated with diabetic peripheral neuropathy and postherpetic neuralgia. It is alsoused as adjunctive therapy for partial-onset seizures in adults and for the management of fibromyalgia.

Dosage and Administration: The starting dose for neuropathic pain is usually 150 mg per day, given in two or three divided doses. The dose may be increased gradually by a healthcare professional based on individual response and tolerability. For adjunctive therapy in epilepsy, the starting dose is also typically 150 mg per day, divided. For fibromyalgia, the starting dose is generally 75 mg twice daily. Dosage adjustments may be necessary in patients with kidney impairment. Capsules should be swallowed whole.

Side Effects: Common adverse reactions may include dizziness, somnolence, dry mouth, blurred vision, weight gain, and difficulty concentrating. Less common side effects may include euphoria, confusion, irritability, ataxia, and peripheral edema.

Precautions: Pregaba is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to pregabalin or any of its components. Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of angioedema, heart failure, or renal impairment. It may cause dizziness and drowsiness, affecting the ability to drive or operate machinery. Gradual withdrawal over at least one week is recommended to minimize potential withdrawal symptoms.

Storage: Store below 30°C in a dry place, protected from light. Keep out of reach of children.
