Pregaba 75

Presentation: Each capsule contains Pregabalin 75 mg.

Indications: Pregaba is indicated for the treatment of neuropathic pain (nerve damage pain) associated with diabetic peripheral neuropathy and postherpetic neuralgia. It is also used as adjunctive therapy for partial-onset seizures in adults and for the management of fibromyalgia.

Dosage and Administration: The dosage is individualized and determined by the physician. The usual starting dose for neuropathic pain is 150 mg per day, given in two or three divided doses. The dose may be increased gradually by the physician based on individual response and tolerability, up to a maximum of 600 mg per day. For adjunctive therapy for partial-onset seizures, the starting dose is also usually 150 mg per day, divided into two or three doses, and may be increased. For fibromyalgia, the starting dose is typically 75 mg twice daily, which may be increased. Follow your physician's instructions carefully. Dosage adjustments may be necessary in patients with kidney impairment.

Side Effects: Common side effects may include dizziness, somnolence (drowsiness), dry mouth, blurred vision, weight gain, and difficulty concentrating. Less common side effects can include euphoria, confusion, irritability, ataxia (lack of coordination), tremor, and peripheral edema.

Precautions: Inform your physician if you have kidney problems, heart failure, or a history of angioedema. Use caution with alcohol and other central nervous system depressants. May cause dizziness and drowsiness; caution is advised while driving or operating machinery. Inform your physician if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Gradual withdrawal of the medication is recommended to minimize potential withdrawal symptoms.

Storage: Store below 30°C in a dry place, protected from light. Keep out of reach of children.
