Pregaben CR 165

Presentation: Each controlled-release tablet contains 165 mg of Pregabalin. 

Indications: Pregaben CR (controlled-release Pregabalin) is indicated for the management of:

• Neuropathic pain (nerve pain) in adults.

Dosage and Administration:

• The recommended starting dose is 165 mg once daily.
• The dose may be increased to 330 mg once daily after 3 to 7 days, based on individual patient response and tolerability.
• If sufficient pain relief has not been achieved with 330 mg once daily, the dose may be further increased to a maximum dose of 660 mg once daily.
• Pregaben CR should be swallowed whole and should not be chewed, crushed, or divided.
• It can be taken with or without food.

Side Effects: Common side effects may include:

• Dizziness
• Drowsiness
• Headache
• Dry mouth
• Blurred vision
• Weight gain
• Peripheral edema (swelling of the extremities)

Less common side effects may include:

• Increased appetite
• Euphoric mood
• Confusion
• Irritability
• Ataxia (lack of coordination)
• Tremor
• Memory impairment

Precautions:

• Inform your doctor if you have kidney problems, heart problems, or diabetes.
• Use with caution in elderly patients.
• Pregaben CR may cause dizziness and drowsiness, so caution should be exercised while driving or operating machinery until you know how the medication affects you.
• Avoid abrupt discontinuation of the medication, as it may lead to withdrawal symptoms. The dosage should be tapered gradually under medical supervision.
• The safety of Pregaben CR during pregnancy has not been fully established. It should only be used if the potential benefit outweighs the risk to the fetus. Consult your doctor before use.
• Pregabalin passes into breast milk. Breastfeeding is not recommended while taking Pregaben CR.

Storage: Store below 30°C, protected from light and moisture. Keep out of the reach of children.
