Quiet 100

Presentation: Each film-coated tablet contains Quetiapine Fumarate equivalent to Quetiapine 100 mg.

Indications: Quiet (Quetiapine) is indicated for the treatment of schizophrenia, bipolar disorder (including manic, depressive, and mixed episodes), and as adjunctive therapy for major depressive disorder.

Dosage and Administration: Dosage should be individualized and determined by a healthcare professional based on the specific condition being treated and the patient's response. Quiet tablets should be swallowed whole and can be taken with or without food.

• Schizophrenia: The usual starting dose is 50 mg on Day 1, 100 mg on Day 2, 200 mg on Day 3, and 300 mg on Day 4. From Day 4 onwards, the dose should be titrated to the usual effective dose range of 300 to 450 mg per day, administered in two divided doses. Dosage adjustments beyond 450 mg/day should be based on clinical response and tolerability, up to a maximum of 800 mg/day.
• Bipolar Disorder (Manic Episodes): The starting dose is 50 mg on Day 1, 100 mg on Day 2, 200 mg on Day 3, and 300 mg on Day 4. Further dosage adjustments up to 800 mg per day by Day 6 should be based on clinical response and tolerability.
• Bipolar Disorder (Depressive Episodes): The starting dose is 50 mg on Day 1, 100 mg on Day 2, 200 mg on Day 3, and 300 mg on Day 4. The recommended dose range is 300 mg to 600 mg once daily.
• Adjunctive Therapy for Major Depressive Disorder: The starting dose is 50 mg once daily at bedtime. Dosage may be increased to 150 mg to 300 mg once daily based on clinical response and tolerability.

Side Effects: Common adverse reactions may include somnolence, dizziness, dry mouth, increased appetite, weight gain, and elevated triglyceride levels. Less common side effects may include orthostatic hypotension, tachycardia, constipation, and blurred vision.

Precautions: Quiet is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to quetiapine or any of its components and should not be used concomitantly with strong CYP3A4 inducers. Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of cardiovascular disease, cerebrovascular disease, conditions predisposing to hypotension, hepatic impairment, or seizures. Monitor for tardive dyskinesia and neuroleptic malignant syndrome. May increase the risk of suicidal thoughts and behavior, especially in young adults.
