Rasagil 0.5

Presentation: Each tablet contains Rasagiline Mesylate equivalent to Rasagiline 0.5 mg.

Indications:Treatment of the signs and symptoms of idiopathic Parkinson's disease as initial monotherapy and as adjunct therapy to dopamine agonists or to levodopa.  

Dosage & Administration:

• Monotherapy: 1 mg once daily.
• Adjunct therapy without Levodopa: 1 mg once daily.
• Adjunct therapy to Levodopa: 0.5 mg once daily initially. The dose may be increased to 1 mg once daily based on response and tolerability. When used with levodopa, a reduction in levodopa dose may be considered.

Take orally once daily, with or without food. Follow your doctor's instructions carefully.

Side Effects: Common side effects may include dizziness, spinning sensation, joint pain, headache, heartburn, nausea, muscle pain, depressed mood, flu-like symptoms, indigestion, trouble sleeping, cough, and swelling of arms and legs.

Precautions: Concomitant use with certain pain relievers (like meperidine, tramadol), some antidepressants, and MAO inhibitors is not recommended due to the risk of a serious reaction. Use with caution in patients with mild liver impairment. May affect blood pressure. May increase the risk of melanoma. May cause drowsiness. Avoid or use caution with tyramine-rich foods. Tell your doctor about all other medications you are taking.

Storage: Store below 30°C, protected from light and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.
