Reluciba 

Presentation: Each tablet contains Relugolix 120 mg. Available in blister packs.

Indications: Treatment of advanced prostate cancer in adult patients.

Dosage and Administration: Recommended loading dose: 360 mg on the first day, followed by 120 mg taken orally once daily at approximately the same time each day. May be taken with or without food. Swallow tablets whole; do not crush or chew. If a dose is missed by more than 12 hours, skip the missed dose and resume the next scheduled dose. If treatment is interrupted for more than 7 days, restart with a 360 mg loading dose on the first day, then continue with 120 mg once daily.

Side Effects: Very common (≥10%) side effects include hot flushes, increased glucose, increased triglycerides, musculoskeletal pain, decreased hemoglobin, increased alanine aminotransferase (ALT), fatigue, increased aspartate aminotransferase (AST), constipation, and diarrhea.Common side effects include increased blood sugar and blood fat levels, muscle and joint pain, decreased hemoglobin, increased liver enzymes, and tiredness. Rare side effects may include changes in heart electrical activity (QT prolongation), dizziness, fainting, palpitations, and chest pain. Other side effects reported include weight gain, decreased sex drive, and erectile dysfunction.

Precautions: Androgen deprivation therapy may prolong the QT interval. Relugolix can cause fetal harm; advise males with female partners of reproductive potential to use effective contraception.The safety and efficacy in females have not been established. May impair fertility in males of reproductive potential. Avoid co-administration with P-gp inhibitors; if unavoidable, take Reluciba first, separate dosing by at least 6 hours, and monitor for adverse reactions. Avoid co-administration with combined P-gp and strong CYP3A inducers; if unavoidable, the Relugolix dose may need to be increased to 240 mg once daily.

Storage: Store in a dry and cool place, away from light and moisture. Keep all medicines out of reach of children.
