Dosage and Administration: The dosage of Remens 5 varies depending on the condition being treated and should be strictly followed as prescribed by a physician. It is administered orally. For dysfunctional uterine bleeding, the usual dose is one 5 mg tablet three times daily for 10 days. For menorrhagia, it is typically one 5 mg tablet two to three times daily from day 19 to 26 of the cycle. For premenstrual syndrome, the usual dose is two to three 5 mg tablets daily from day 19 to 26 of the cycle. For postponement of menstruation, it is one 5 mg tablet three times daily, starting 3 days before the expected onset. For endometriosis, the initial dose is usually two 5 mg tablets daily, starting on the 5th day of the cycle for several weeks, with possible adjustments based on response.

Side Effects: Common side effects may include headache, nausea, breast tenderness, changes in libido, changes in weight, and changes in menstrual flow or spotting. Less common side effects may include mood changes, dizziness, and fluid retention.

Precautions: Remens 5 (norethisterone) is contraindicated in pregnancy and should be used with caution during lactation. It should be used with caution in patients with a history of thromboembolic disorders, severe liver dysfunction, and undiagnosed vaginal bleeding. It may also interact with certain other medications.
