Rosen Star

Presentation: Rosen Star is a combined oral contraceptive pill containing ethinylestradiol 0.02 mg, drospirenone 3 mg, and levomefolate calcium 0.451 mg. 

Indications: Rosen Star is indicated for use by women to:

• Prevent pregnancy (contraception).
• Raise folate levels in women who choose to use an oral contraceptive for contraception, for the purpose of reducing the risk ofneural tube defects in a pregnancy conceived while taking the product or shortly after discontinuing it.

Dosage and Administration: One tablet is to be taken daily by mouth at the same time every day, following the order indicated on the blister pack. Start with the first orange tablet on the first day of menstruation. Continue taking one orange tablet daily for 21 days, then switch to one light orange non-hormonal tablet daily for the next 7 days. Start the next pack immediately after finishing the current one.

Side Effects: Common side effects may include headache/migraine, menstrual irregularities, nausea/vomiting, and breast pain/tenderness. Other possible side effects include abdominal pain/discomfort, mood changes, decreased libido, and weight changes.

Precautions: Rosen Star should not be used in women with certain conditions, including a history of or current blood clots, stroke, or heart attack, uncontrolled high blood pressure, certain types of cancer, liver disease, kidney impairment, adrenal insufficiency, undiagnosed abnormal uterine bleeding, or pregnancy. Smoking increases the risk of serious cardiovascular side effects, especially in women over 35 years old.

Storage: Store in a cool and dry place, away from light and out of reach of children.
