Presentation: Effervescent tablets, typically available in tubes of 10 tablets. Manufactured by Healthcare Pharmaceuticals Ltd. in Bangladesh.

Ingredients: Each effervescent tablet contains Calcium Lactate Gluconate 1000 mg, Calcium Carbonate USP 327 mg (equivalent to elemental Calcium), and Ascorbic Acid (Vitamin C) USP 500 mg.

Indications: Indicated for increased demand of Calcium and Vitamin C during pregnancy, lactation, rapid growth periods (childhood and adolescence), and old age. Also used during infectious diseases and convalescence, treatment of Calcium and Vitamin C deficiency, osteoporosis, premenstrual syndrome, postmenopausal problems, andas an adjuvant in colds and influenza.

Dosage & Administration:

• Children (3 to 7 years): ½ effervescent tablet daily.
• Adults and children (above 7 years): 1 effervescent tablet daily. Dissolve the tablet in a glass of water (approximately 200 ml) and drink immediately.

Side Effects: In rare cases, mild gastrointestinal disturbances like bloating or diarrhea may occur. Prolonged high-dose use in predisposed individuals might lead to urinary tract stones.

Precautions: Contraindicated in patients with hypercalcaemia, severe hypercalciuria, severe renal failure, hyperoxaluria, glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase (G6PD) deficiency, or iron overload. Use cautiously in patients with mild hypercalciuria, mild to moderate renal impairment, or a history of urinary stones, requiring monitoring of calcium excretion. Avoid high doses of Vitamin D unless specifically indicated. Use with caution in severe renal impairment, especially with aluminum-containing medications due to potential increased aluminum absorption from citric acid. Consider sugar content for diabetic patients.

Storage: Store in a cool, dry place, protected from heat, light, and moisture. Keep the tube tightly closed after each use and out of reach of children.
