The appearance (shape, color, markings) may vary depending on the manufacturer in Bangladesh (e.g., Beacon Pharmaceuticals PLC).
Indications: Sinjard-L is indicated as an adjunct to diet and exercise to improve glycemic control in adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus whentreatment with both empagliflozin and linagliptin is appropriate.
Dosage and Administration: The recommended dose is one tablet (empagliflozin 10 mg and linagliptin 5 mg) once daily, taken in the morning, with or without food. The dose may be increased to one tablet containing empagliflozin 25 mg and linagliptin 5 mg once daily in patients who are tolerating the initial dose and require further glycemic control.
Assess renal function before initiating Sinjard-L. It is not recommended in patients with an eGFR below 45 mL/min/1.73 m². Discontinue if eGFR falls below this level. Follow your doctor's specific instructions.
Side Effects: Common side effects may include urinary tract infections, nasopharyngitis, and increased urination. When used with insulin or sulfonylureas, there is an increased risk of hypoglycemia. Other potential side effects include genital mycotic infections, dehydration, and hypotension.
