Thyvy Syrup - (100ml) contains a combination of herbal extracts:

• Ivy leaf dry extract: 37.5mg per 5ml
• Thyme dry extract: 50mg per 5ml

It is manufactured by Drug International Ltd.

Indications:

Thyvy Syrup is indicated for the relief of:

• Cough (chesty and mucosal)  
• Liquefies mucus  
• Helps in bronchitis (catarrh or inflammation of the respiratory tract)  
• Relieves shortness of breath  

Dosage and Administration:

• Adults: Take 5-7.5ml (1-1½ teaspoonfuls) 3 times daily.
• Children (6-9 years) & Adolescents (>10 years): Take 5ml (1 teaspoonful) 3 times daily.
• Children (2-6 years): ½ teaspoonful 2 times daily.

The duration of treatment depends on the type and severity of the condition. However, treatment should continue for at least one week, even in minor inflammations of the respiratory tract. It should be maintained for 2-3 days after symptoms have subsided to ensure lasting success. Or, use as directed by a registered physician.

Contraindications:

It is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to the active ingredients or any other components of this syrup.  

Side Effects:  

In rare cases, this cough syrup may have a laxative effect, cause skin allergy, or gastric disturbance.

Precautions:

In the event of persistent complaints or the occurrence of shortness of breath, fever, as well as purulent or bloody expectoration, a doctor should be consulted immediately.  

Use in Pregnancy and Lactation:  

This medicine should be taken during pregnancy and breastfeeding only after having previously consulted a doctor.

Drug Interaction:

No adverse effects have been reported regarding the simultaneous ingestion of this cough syrup and other medicines. The preparation can therefore be combined safely with other medicines, such as antibiotics.  

Storage:

Store in a cool and dry place away from direct sunlight. Keep it out of reach of children.
