Tigover 10

Presentation: Each tablet contains Flunarizine 10 mg.

Indications: Tigover is indicated for the prophylaxis of migraine (classic and common), symptomatic treatment of vestibular vertigo, management of peripheral vascular disease, prevention of motion sickness, and as adjunctive therapy in refractory epilepsy.

Dosage and Administration: The dosage is individualized and determined by the physician.

• Migraine Prophylaxis: Adults under 65 years: 10 mg once daily at night. Adults 65 years and older: 5 mg once daily at night. Maintenance dose may be 5 days a week. Discontinue if no improvement after 2 months.
• Vestibular Vertigo and Motion Sickness: Adults: 10-20 mg daily. Children (>40 kg): 5 mg daily.
• Peripheral Vascular Disease: 10 mg twice daily, may increase to 30 mg daily.
• Refractory Epilepsy: Adults: 15-20 mg daily. Children: 5-10 mg daily, as adjunctive therapy.

Administer preferably at night due to potential drowsiness. Follow the physician's directions.

Side Effects: Common side effects include drowsiness, fatigue, increased appetite, and weight gain. Less common include depression, extrapyramidal symptoms (especially in the elderly), heartburn, nausea, stomach pain, insomnia, anxiety, galactorrhoea, dry mouth, muscle ache, and skin rash.

Precautions: Exercise caution in patients with a history of depression or pre-existing extrapyramidal disorders. May cause drowsiness; caution when driving or operating machinery. Not for acute migraine attacks. Use with caution in liver disease. Inform the physician if pregnant or breastfeeding. May interact with hepatic enzyme inducers.

Storage: Store below 30°C in a dry place, protected from light. Keep out of reach of children.
