Tiniril 8 Tablet

Presentation: Each tablet contains Betahistine Dihydrochloride.

Indications: Tiniril is indicated for the treatment of Meniere's disease, a disorder of the inner ear that can cause vertigo (dizziness), tinnitus (ringing in the ears), and hearing loss. It is also used to treat symptoms of vertigo.

Dosage and Administration: The usual initial dose for adults is 8 mg taken three times a day. The maintenance dose can range from 24 to 48 mg daily, divided into two or three doses. It is recommended to take the tablets with food. Your doctor will determine the appropriate dose and duration of treatment based on your condition and response.

Side Effects: Common side effects may include:

• Headache
• Nausea
• Indigestion

Less common side effects can include palpitations, allergic reactions, and mild stomach upset.

Precautions: Use with caution in patients with asthma or a history of peptic ulcers. If you have low blood pressure, consult your doctor before taking this medication. The safety and efficacy in children have not been established.

Contraindications: Tiniril is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to betahistine dihydrochloride or any of the excipients, and in patients with pheochromocytoma (a rare tumor of the adrenal gland).

Drug Interactions: While specific drug interactions with betahistine are not always prominent, it's always important to inform your doctor about all medications you are currently taking, including over-the-counter drugs and herbal supplements, to avoid potential interactions.
