Tioxil 

Presentation: Capsules containing a combination of Vitamin C, Vitamin E, Lutein, Zinc, and Copper. Available in strips. Manufactured by ACI Pharmaceuticals Ltd. in Bangladesh.

Indications: Indicated as an advanced antioxidant supplement to provide nutritional support for the eye. Specifically used for Age-Related Eye Diseases (ARED), such as Age-Related Macular Degeneration (ARMD) and Cataract.

Dosage and Administration: One capsule, one or two times daily or as recommended by the physician.

Side Effects: Generally well-tolerated. Large doses of Vitamin C may cause diarrhea and other gastrointestinal disturbances. Large doses of Vitamin E may also cause diarrhea, abdominal pain, other gastrointestinal disturbances, fatigue, and weakness.

Precautions: Contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients. Vitamin C should be given with care to patients with hyperoxaluria and in patients taking oral anticoagulants or estrogens. Vitamin E should be given carefully to patients taking oral anticoagulants or estrogens as it may antagonize the effects of Vitamin K, potentially increasing blood clotting time.

Storage: Store in a cool and dry place, protected from light. Keep out of reach of children.
