Tivis 50 

Presentation: Each tablet contains Tiemonium Methylsulphate 50 mg. Tivis 50 is a product of Beacon Pharmaceuticals Ltd. in Bangladesh and is usually available in blister packs.

Indications: Tivis (Tiemonium Methylsulphate) is an antispasmodic drug that reduces muscle spasms of the intestine, biliary system, bladder, and uterus. It is used for the symptomatic treatment of pain related to functional disorders of the digestive tract and biliary system. It is also indicated for the treatment of spasm and pain in urological and gynaecological diseases.  

Dosage and Administration:   The usual dose for adults is 1-2 tablets (50-100 mg) two to three times daily. The dosage for children is usually based on body weight (3 ml/kg or 6 mg/kg body weight daily) in divided doses. It is recommended to follow the dosage instructions provided by your physician.

Side Effects: In some individuals, Tivis (Tiemonium Methylsulphate) may cause hypotension (low blood pressure) and tachycardia (rapid heartbeat).

Precautions: Tivis should not be used in patients with urethroprostatic disorders where there is a risk of urine retention. It is also contraindicated in patients with a risk of angle-closure glaucoma. Caution should be exercised in patients with prostate problems, chronic bronchitis, coronary insufficiency, ambient hyperthermia, and renal or hepatic insufficiency. The risk of visual disturbances may make driving or operating machinery dangerous.

Use in Pregnancy and Lactation: Animal studies have not revealed any teratogenic effects with Tiemonium Methylsulphate, and no deformities have been reported with routine use so far. However, due to a lack of sufficient data, caution should be exercised in nursing mothers. Consult your doctor for advice.

Storage: Keep in a dry place, away from light and heat. Keep out of the reach of children.
