Presentation: Each coated tablet contains Tiemonium Methylsulphate INN 50 mg. Tynium is a brand name marketed by ACI Pharmaceuticals Ltd. in Bangladesh. It is usually available in blister packs.

Indications: Tynium (Tiemonium Methylsulphate) is an antispasmodic agent with anticholinergic effects indicated for the relief of muscular and visceral spasms, particularly in:

• Spasms of the intestine, biliary system, bladder, and uterus.
• Gastroenteritis, diarrhoea, dysentery.  
• Enterocolitis, cholecystitis, colonopathies, biliary colic.  
• Mild cystitis, symptomatic nephritic colic.  
• Spasmodic dysmenorrhoea.  

Dosage and Administration:   The usual dosage for adults is 2 to 6 tablets (100 to 300 mg) daily in divided doses as required. The tablets should be swallowed whole with a sufficient amount of water. The dosage and duration of treatment should be determined by the physician based on the severity of the symptoms and the patient's response.

Side Effects: Tiemonium Methylsulphate may have some undesirable effects in certain individuals, such as the risk of hypotension and tachycardia if ingested in high doses rapidly. Other potential side effects associated with anticholinergic drugs may include dry mouth, blurred vision, constipation, and difficulty with micturition (urination).

Precautions: Tynium (Tiemonium Methylsulphate) should not be used in patients with glaucoma (acute pain in the eyeball with vision disturbances) or difficulty to urinate due to disorders of the prostate or bladder. Precautions should be exercised for the treatment of patients with disorders of the prostate, chronic bronchitis, coronary insufficiency, ambient hyperthermia, cardiac disorders, thyroid disorders, and serious renal and hepatic insufficiency.

Use in Pregnancy and Lactation: Tiemonium Methylsulphate is not recommended during pregnancy and lactation unless otherwise indicated by a physician.

Storage: Store in a cool and dry place, protected from light. Keep out of reach of children.
