Ulfix 500
Presentation: Each tablet contains Sucralfate INN 500 mg. Ulfix is a brand name marketed by Renata PLC in Bangladesh. It is usually available in blister packs.
Indications: Ulfix (Sucralfate) is indicated for the treatment of:
Dosage and Administration: Ulfix tablets should be taken on an empty stomach, 1 hour before meals and at bedtime, or 2 hours after meals. Antacids should not be taken 30 minutes before or after taking Ulfix.
Side Effects: The most common side effect is constipation. Less common side effects may include diarrhea, dizziness, dry mouth, flatulence, headache, and indigestion.
Precautions: Ulfix (Sucralfate) should be used with caution in patients with renal dysfunction due to the possibility of increased aluminum absorption. It is not recommended for use in individuals on dialysis. Concomitant administration of Ulfix may reduce the bioavailability of certain drugs. The administration of Ulfix should be separated by two hours from that of other agents where alterations in bioavailability are considered critical.
Use in Pregnancy and Lactation: Ulfix is generally considered safe to use during pregnancy and breastfeeding, but consultation with a healthcare professional is advised.
Storage: Store in a cool and dry place, away from light and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.
