Utrogest 200 

Presentation: Each capsule contains Progesterone (micronized) 200 mg. Available in strips.

Indications: Utrogest 200 mg is indicated for various conditions related to progesterone deficiency, including:

• Luteal support during Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART) cycles.
• Maintenance of pregnancy in cases of threatened or recurrent abortion due to luteal insufficiency.
• Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) in post-menopausal women, usually in combination with estrogen.
• Prevention of endometrial hyperplasia in women receiving estrogen therapy.
• Treatment of secondary amenorrhea.
• Management of dysfunctional uterine bleeding.

Dosage and Administration: Dosage varies depending on the indication and the route of administration (oral or vaginal), as directed by a physician.

• Oral Use: Usually taken at bedtime, with or without food. Dosage ranges from 200 mg to 300 mg daily in divided doses.
• Vaginal Use: Capsules are inserted deep into the vagina. Dosage ranges from 200 mg to 600 mg daily in divided doses.

Follow your physician's instructions carefully regarding the dose and duration of treatment.

Side Effects: Common side effects may include drowsiness, dizziness, headache, breast tenderness, and abdominal discomfort. Vaginal use may cause local irritation. Less common side effects include mood changes, nausea, and changes in libido.

Precautions: Contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to progesterone or any of the capsule components, undiagnosed vaginal bleeding, severe liver disease, known or suspected breast or genital cancer, thromboembolic disorders, and porphyria. Use with caution in patients with epilepsy, migraine, asthma, cardiac or renal dysfunction, and depression. Inform your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

Storage: Store below 30°C in a dry place, protected from light and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.
