Vesium 50 

Presentation:Vesium 50 Tablet, available in Bangladesh, contains Tiemonium Methylsulfate 50 mg.It is usually presented as tablets for oral administration and is available in blister packs. Each box typically contains 50 tablets (5 strips of 10 tablets each). The color and shape of the tablet may vary depending on the manufacturer.

Indications:Vesium (Tiemonium Methylsulfate) is indicated for the relief of smooth muscle spasms associated with pain in the:  

• Intestine (e.g., gastroenteritis, diarrhea, dysentery, enterocolitis, colonopathy)  
• Biliary system (e.g., biliary colic, cholecystitis)  
• Uterus  
• Urinary bladder (e.g., mild cystitis, spasmodic dysmenorrhea)  

Dosage and Administration: The usual dosages for adults are 2 to 6 tablets (100-300 mg) daily, administered orally in divided doses as needed. It is important to follow your doctor's specific instructions regarding the dosage and duration of treatment.

Side Effects: The most commonly reported side effects of Tiemonium Methylsulfate may include:

• Hypotension (low blood pressure)
• Tachycardia (rapid heart rate)

Precautions: Vesium (Tiemonium Methylsulfate) is contraindicated in patients with:

• Urethroprostatic disorders involving a risk of urine retention.
• Risk of angle-closure glaucoma.  

Caution should be exercised in patients with:

• Disorders of the prostate.
• Chronic bronchitis.
• Coronary insufficiency.
• Ambient hyperthermia.  
• Renal or hepatic insufficiency.  

Due to the potential risk of visual disturbances, caution is advised when driving or operating machinery.

Storage: Store below 30°C in a dry place, protected from light. Keep out of reach of children.
