Vini 10
Presentation:Vini 10 is presented as a tablet containing 10 mg of Vonoprazan.
Indications: Vini is indicated for:
- Prevention of recurrence of gastric or duodenal ulcer during low-dose aspirin administration.
- Prevention of recurrence of gastric or duodenal ulcer duringNSAID administration.
- Maintenance therapy of reflux esophagitis showing recurrence and recrudescence (when the efficacy of a 20mg dose was adequate initially).
Dosage and Administration:
- Prevention of recurrence of gastric or duodenal ulcer during low-dose aspirin administration:The usual adult dose is one tablet of 10mg administered orally once daily.
- Prevention of recurrence of gastric or duodenal ulcer during non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) administration:The usual adultdose is one tablet of 10mg administered orally once daily.
- Maintenance therapy of reflux esophagitis showing recurrence and recrudescence: The usual dose is 10 mg once daily. However, when efficacy is inadequate, the dosage may be increased up to 20 mg once daily.
- Vonoprazan can be taken without regard to food or timing of food.
Side Effects: The following side effects have been reported with the use of Vini (containing Vonoprazan):
- Diarrhea
- Constipation
- Drug hypersensitivity (including anaphylactic shock)
- Drug eruption
- Urticaria (hives)
- Hepatotoxicity (liver damage)
- Jaundice (yellowing of the skin and eyes)
- Rash
- Nausea
- Abdominal distension
- Gamma-glutamyl transferase increased (a liver enzyme)
- AST increased (a liver enzyme)
- Liver function test abnormal
- ALT increased (a liver enzyme)
Precautions:
- Vini is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to Vonoprazan or to any excipient of the product.
- Vini is contraindicated in patients receiving atazanavir sulphate, nelfinavir, or rilpivirine hydrochloride.
- At the treatment, the course of the disease shouldbe closely observed and the minimum therapeutic necessity should be considered.
- Vonoprazan should be used in pregnant women or women having the possibility of being pregnant only if the expected therapeutic benefit is thought to outweigh any possible risk.
- It is advisable to avoid the administration of Vonoprazan to nursing mothers. However, when the administration is indispensable, nursing should be discontinued.
- Caution is advised when consuming alcohol with Vonoprazan.
- There is no recommendation for dose adjustment in patients with renal or hepatic impairment.
Storage:Store below 30°C, in a cool and dry place, away from light.Keep all medicine out of the reach of children.
