Viset 50 is a tablet containing 50 mg of Tiemonium Methylsulphate INN. It is manufactured by Healthcare Pharmaceuticals Ltd.

Indications:

Viset 50 is an antispasmodic drug that reduces muscle spasm of the intestine, biliary system, bladder, and uterus. It is used in the symptomatic treatment of pain related to functional disorders of the digestive tract and biliary system. It is also indicated for the treatment of spasm and pain in urological and gynecological diseases. 

Dosage and Administration:

• Adults: The usual dose is 2 to 6 tablets daily in divided doses.

Contraindications:

Viset 50 should not be used in the following conditions:

• Urethroprostatic disorders involving a risk of urine retention.
• Risk of angle-closure glaucoma.
• Breast-feeding.
• Gluten intolerance.

Side Effects:

Some patients may experience undesirable effects such as:

• Hypotension (low blood pressure)
• Tachycardia (fast heart rate)
• Dry mouth
• Thickened bronchial secretions
• Dry eye
• Visual disturbances
• Cardiac disorders (heart problems)
• Constipation
• Urinary disorders
• Irritation
• Mental confusion (in elderly patients)

Use in Pregnancy and Lactation:

• Pregnancy: Use of this drug is generally not recommended during pregnancy unless specifically indicated by a physician.
• Lactation: The use of this drug is contraindicated while breast-feeding. If it is considered necessary, breast-feeding should be stopped.

Precautions and Warnings:

Caution should be taken in patients with:

• Prostate disorders
• Serious kidney or liver diseases
• Cardiac disorders
• Thyroid disorders
• Chronic bronchitis
• Certain gastrointestinal diseases

The risk of visual disturbances may make it dangerous to drive or operate machinery.

Drug Interactions:
