Vonix 10 

Presentation: Each film-coated tablet of Vonix 10 contains Vonoprazan Fumarate INN equivalent to Vonoprazan 10 mg. Vonix 10 is a product of The ACME Laboratories Ltd. in Bangladesh and is usually available in blister packs.

Indications: Vonix (Vonoprazan) is a potassium-competitive acid blocker (P-CAB) indicated for:

• Maintenance therapy to prevent recurrence or relapse of reflux esophagitis.
• Prevention of recurrence of gastric ulcer during low-dose aspirin administration.
• Prevention of recurrence of duodenal ulcer during low-dose aspirin administration.
• Prevention of recurrence of gastric ulcer during non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) administration.
• Prevention of recurrence of duodenal ulcer during non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) administration.

Dosage and Administration: Vonix 10 tablets should be taken orally once daily. The tablet can be taken without regard to food or the timing of food.

• Maintenance therapy to prevent recurrence or relapse of reflux esophagitis: The usual adult dose is 10 mg once daily. This may be increased to 20 mg once daily if efficacy is inadequate.
• Prevention of recurrence of gastric ulcer or duodenal ulcer during low-dose aspirin or NSAID administration: The usual adult dose is 10 mg once daily.

The duration of treatment should be as prescribed by your doctor.

Side Effects: The most common side effects reported with Vonix (Vonoprazan) include:

• Diarrhoea
• Constipation
• Rash
• Nausea
• Abdominal distension
• Increased liver enzymes (ALT, AST, gamma-glutamyl transferase)

Other side effects that may occur include hypersensitivity reactions (including anaphylactic shock), drug eruption, urticaria, hepatotoxicity, and jaundice.

Precautions: Vonix (Vonoprazan) is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to Vonoprazan or any excipients in the product, and in patients receiving atazanavir sulphate, nelfinavir, or rilpivirine hydrochloride.

Caution should be exercised in pregnant women or women having the possibility of being pregnant, and it should be used only if the expected therapeutic benefit outweighs any possible risk. It is advisable to avoid the administration of Vonoprazan to nursing mothers; if indispensable, nursing should be discontinued.

Storage: Store below 30°C, in a cool and dry place, protected from light. Keep out of reach of children.
