Presentation: Each kit contains a combination pack with: Vonoprazan 20 mg tablet (as Vonoprazan Fumarate INN), Amoxicillin 500 mg capsules (as Amoxicillin Trihydrate BP), and Clarithromycin 500 mg tablet (as Clarithromycin USP), typically in a blister strip for a 14-day treatment course.

Indications: Vonocab Trio is indicated for the eradication of Helicobacter pylori in adult patients with active chronic gastritis, gastric ulcer, or duodenal ulcer.

Dosage and Administration: The recommended regimen is to take one Vonoprazan 20 mg tablet, two Amoxicillin 500 mg capsules, and one Clarithromycin 500 mg tablet orally twice daily (morning and evening, approximately 12 hours apart) for 14 days. All medications in the kit should be taken as directed for the full duration to ensure effective eradication of H. pylori.

Side Effects: Common side effects associated with Vonocab Trio or its components may include taste disturbances (dysgeusia), diarrhea, headache, abdominal pain, nausea, and rash. Less frequent but potentially serious side effects can include hypersensitivity reactions, severe skin reactions, and Clostridioides difficile-associated diarrhea. Clarithromycin may also cause QT prolongation in some individuals.

Precautions: Vonocab Trio is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to vonoprazan, amoxicillin (or other beta-lactam antibiotics), or clarithromycin (or other macrolide antibiotics). It should be used with caution in patients with a history of QT prolongation, cardiac arrhythmias, electrolyte imbalances, significant bradycardia, or those taking medications known to affect the QT interval. Avoid use in patients with moderate to severe hepatic or severe renal impairment.

Use in Pregnancy and Lactation: Vonocab Trio is generally not recommended for use during pregnancy and breastfeeding due to the potential risks associated with its components. A physician should be consulted to weigh the benefits against the risks if treatment is necessary.

Storage: Store below 30°C in a dry place, protected from light. Keep out of reach of children.
